Description

SOAVE CLASSICO ― BATTISTELLE ― LE BATTISTELLE

Location: Brognoligo Costalunga, Verona – Veneto
Classification: Soave Classico DOC
Grape varieties: Garganega

Soave Classico is the typical white wine of the Veronese hills, appreciated for its structure, balance and longevity. It is produced with a native local variety, named Garganega, grown on a mixed soil with limestone, clay and some basalt, a volcanic rock. 50 million years ago, in fact, submarine volcanic activity created this bedrock, that later emerged and formed the surrounding mountains. The wine Le Batistelle comes from a single steep and terraced vineyard. It has a harmonious though pronounced taste, with a savory finish and a precise smell, reminiscent of white flowers and citrus fruit.

ETNA ROSSO ― VIVERA

Location: Linguaglossa, Catania – Sicilia
Classification: Etna Rosso DOP
Grape varieties: Nerello Mascalese

Etna wine takes its name from the Etna Volcano (Sicily), the largest and highest still active volcano of Europe. On the northern slopes of the Volcano at over 1900 feet above sea level extend the vineyards of Vivera, a traditional local estate. Etna Rosso by Vivera is a handcrafted, organic wine. It is a first approach to the exciting world of Etna wines, some of the most sought-after of Italy nowadays. It combines the characteristic minerality and sharpness of Etna wines in a medium body and well-balanced taste. It distinguishes for a pale color and red fruit and orange peel aromas. Try it with rotisserie, mushrooms or even fish!

ETNA ROSSO ― ARCURIA ― GRACI

Location: Passopisciaro, Catania – Sicilia
Classification: Etna Rosso DOC
Grape varieties: Nerello Mascalese

Graci has been making wine on the Etna Volcano for a long time. His experience and knowledge of the territory have led him to be one of the most respected names of Etna wines. Arcurìa is a single-vineyard wine, made with the local Nerello Mascalese grape variety, cultivated at 2,200 feet of elevation on the nortnern slope of the Volcano. It is fermented and aged for 18 months in wooden casks. Despite its pale color, it is a concentrated and complex wine, with lots of tannins that are destined to a long aging in the bottle. It is pronounced on the nose with red fruit, dried herbs, spices and some smokiness, the taste is robust and long lasting.
