Morellino di Scansano wine is made in the hottest and driest area of Tuscany: Maremma. Here Sangiovese loses its sour acidity and takes on a fruity and velvety personality. Roccaspesta is a leading producer of the region and the wine Riserva Calestaia is an elegant and voluptuous one, produced only in the best vintages, born from the selection of riper grapes of Sangiovese. It has plenty of jammy, spicy and even mineral aromas and a rich mouthfeel with velvety tannins. If ferments in steel vats with indigenous yeasts; then it ages for 4 yeas partly in in wooden barrels and partly in bottles. It is destined for the most special occasions!
